I will definitely recommend them to people I know. Just as a side note, this business is really conveniently located and is close to everything. It is right off and freeway and close to all kinds of shops. I was able to do my grocery shopping for the week right after my appointment at the Bashas next door. I never have to worry about them pressuring me to get dental procedures I don't need. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Thanks for making me enjoy the dentist again

My husband went to this dentist because they told him they took our insurance. Oops. They didn't "discover" that they didn't take our insurance until our insurance company bounced it back and wouldn't cover the care so we got stuck with the entire $1,100 bill. Since we're already homeless, an $1,100 bill is WAY too much for us to handle. Had we not been told they took our insurance (read: lied to), we would have gone a couple of miles down the road where they actually DO take our insurance. Now they're threatening us with collections even though they lied to us and told us they took our insurance.

In an obvious effort to take the heat off, the receptionist had us drop off all kinds of paperwork we had to request from our insurance company to see if they could sign on with our insurance company but that was after the fact and did us no good. For one thing, I honestly doubt the paperwork we gave them was ever sent into the insurance company, and I doubt very seriously that they could have gotten the insurance company to pay for work that had already been done. If you go to this dentist, make SURE that they take your insurance by calling your insurance company instead of letting them lie you out of your money by telling you they take your insurance whether they actually do or not.

The dentist also had to give my husband at least six numbing shots (that never did work) before the dentist could do a root canal on him. My husband kept telling him that the shots weren't working but the dentist kept plugging along trying to get the job done no matter how much it hurt my husband.

Needless to say, my husband won't be going back to Superstition Mountain Family Dental. Care, helpfulness and cost would not be good words to describe Superstition Mountain Family Dental.
