Seeing Dr. Levey was nothing short of life-changing. I was diagnosed with Endomorphisms at a very young age. I spent 15 years dealing with unbearable pain. I went from one doctor to the next and finally found Dr Levey.

This place is perfect. The nurse practitioner, Kayee, is so nice and very professional. I never felt rushed or uncomfortable at any time. She was very informative, and answered all my questions and Dr. Levey was amazing.

I was diagnosed with Endometriosis at a very young age. I spent 15 years dealing with unbearable pain. I went from one doctor to the next and the majority of the treatments I received either did not last or made me worse off than I had been before. Finally at the age of 30 my OBGYN told me that my only definitive option would be a hysterectomy. Having been recently married and desperately wanting children that was no option. Fed up, I started seeking help and advice online. A woman that I met in an online support group suggested Dr. Levey. I live outside of Albany, but decided that a good doctor and proper treatment would be well worth the trip to NYC. I made several visits to Dr. Levey's office. His staff was exceptional. Friendly and courteous. Knowing that I had a distance to travel to get there, they were always flexible when it came to scheduling and really worked with me to make the experience as easy as possible.After several visits Dr. Levey recommended a Laproscopic surgery. Dr. Levey was incredibly thorough. Unlike other doctors I had seen in the past he really listened to my concerns. He didn't just jump to recommending surgery or drastic hormone treatment. He even helped me uncover other problems my previous doctor's had overlooked. My surgery went as well as I could have possibly hoped for. After a few weeks of recovery I was feeling better than I had in over a decade. You really can never describe what it's like to live pain free after having lived with such pain for so long. I can not thank Dr. Levey enough. He has truly changed my life. Now, nearly 2 years after being told (by my old doctor) that I should have a hysterectomy I am 5 months pregnant and couldn't be happier. I have since found a new doctor in the Albany area, but will always return to see Dr. Levey if my symptoms return in the future. Even my new doctor was very impresses when he read my records from Dr. Levey's office and said I was lucky to have found such a skilled and competent surgeon!

Dr. Levey has been spot on in figuring out my problems. He doesn't jump to a BS diagnosis like most doctors do. Trust me, I saw 13 before him. He looks at the big picture not just one symptom and goes one by one to rule things out. Yes, he will refer you out if you have an overlapping problem that he doesn't treat. Most people with chronic pelvic pain have more than one thing going on. He also understands how difficult pelvic pain is to treat. I personally have never had a problem with any of his staff or his personality. I actually find his personality a little relaxing since it's a break from the stress of pain. I like to joke around to lighten up procedures I need and he does the same. He is a very busy guy but he will call you back or e-mail you as soon as he can. He's really been the only doctor I've trusted with this and I also think he respects the fact that I know so much about pelvic pain. I would recommend him to anyone I know with pelvic pain.

Dr. Levey is an amazing Physician and a brilliant Surgeon! I've seen over a dozen specialists and have had multiple surgeries. He was willing to think outside of the box and bring other specialists onboard with him. Although he is a busy man, he really does care about his patients! I can email him at any time and usually get a quick, personal response. I travel 4 hours to see him, but it's worth it! No more being passed around from Doc to Doc!! He's worth seeing if you have ANY pelvic pain issue!

No, they didn't wear any cologne

He/she would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.
Does this provider treat their staff well?
Very! I've never seen an employer treat their staff better

Never, they go out of their way to address every concern of mine immediately

Definitely, they make everyone feel equally respected and cared for

Not at all, they had plenty of staff members to help me whenever I needed assistance

I recently had a visit with Dr. Levy. He was on time and and did not rush the appointment. He took the time to answer all of my questions and even asked about my mother. I have been seeing Dr. Levy for about 5 yrs now. In that time I have seen a doctor that not only cares deeply for his patients medical needs, but a doctor who truly invest himself in helping his patients reach their
full physical and mental potential. Dr. Levy is not the type of doctor to come up with a quick fix and move on to the next patient. He formulates a plan and helps the patient recover at his or her own speed, all the time trying new things until the puzzle has been solved. Dr. Levy truly cares for his patients and always does what is in their best interest. I hope he keeps practicing medicine for the next 100yrs :-)

In addition they always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice.
