After having kids and suffering all kinds of bladder complications for years from the c-sections and deliveries, I was having real bladder issues. Nothing helped, not kegels, not surgery, nothing. I was referred to Dr. Shafizadeh by a friend and colleague who knew how i suffered daily. Thinking nothing could help me, I went to see him anyway. All I can say is that he is not only brilliant, but just lovely. for the first time, I felt a doctor really heard how my bladder problems affected my life and that I was looking for a real solution to this problem. Its now three months after my operation and I am so far delighted with the results. I no longer need to be near a bathroom 24/7! Its a delight. Dr. Shafizadeh is just wonderful.

What a great doctor! I found Dr. Shafizadeh to be super smart but just as important, very very kind. he listened to me, took a very detailed history and discussed non-surgical options as first steps before surgery. The other urologists I had gone to see told me I needed surgery two minutes into my appointment and left the room. Its now six months later, and under Dr. Shafizadeh's wonderful care (and special diet and supplements) I feel better than I have in years, all without risky surgery at my age! Love this doc.

Dr. Shafizadeh is one of the smartest, most caring doctors I have ever been to. He took the time to listen to me and to offer me several treatment options. Together, we have managed to drastically improve my quality of life after my struggles with IC for nearly 30 years. Interestingly, although he is a world class surgeon (he even uses a surgical robot), he is also well-versed in the role of diet and supplements in the treatment of many urological disorders. I could not be happier with my urologist! Dr. Shafizadeh is a gift.

Dr. Shafizadeh was recommended to me by my internist, who told me he was also his urologist. I figured my doctor's urologist can't be bad. and I was right. Another urologist at one of the big hospitals had amost convinced me that I would need some fancy robotic surgery that my insurance only partly covered. Dr. F told me that procedure was not really necessary for my condition and after an in-office procedure and an afternoon's home rest, I was good to go. I send everyone I know to Dr. F. He is both skilled and honest.
