They made sure that their qualifications were obvious. I was confident that I was under the care of a professional. The restrooms at this office were spotless. It smelled amazing in there and looked immaculate. I couldn't believe how knowledgeable and well-informed the staff was. They were able to answer all my questions, except the ones they needed to have their boss's input on. It was great to be able to talk to such a skilled staff. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all.

Dr. Whalen is the first physician I have seen for pain and medication maintenance, and I was really surprised at how much he was able to help me manage my pain. He is easily the most solicitous physician I have ever seen for any medical problem, and I am over sixty years old. He seems to have an excellent relationship with all of his staff members. They always make an effort to make me feel respected and attended to. Dr. W listens to every question or concern I have, and he is even interested in non-pain/medical issues as well. I know that he does see a lot of patients everyday, as he is in high demand, but my experience has been that he tries to see everyone as quickly as possible, while providing time for each patient to speak with him. Parking is an issue at his Havertown office, but the office does warn everyone not to park in areas that are restricted. There is on street parking about a block and half away from the office when the area behind the office is full---it has room for about seven to eight cars max.

Not enough parking due to triple booking patients for both the dr and his nurse practioner. Couldn't get a parking spot so I parked across the street at the shopping plaza and they towed my car ($290.00 cash to get it back an hour later). I went back to the office to inform the other patients to move any cars parked there and the receptionist said her car was towed from there a couple days before. I asked why she didn't post a sign warning the patients not to park there but I guess they didn't care. Tha office is not handicapped accessable which makes no sense since 90% of his patients are elderly and/or physically handicapped. My next problem is that he had me on narcotic meds for 4 years which I had to go every month to get the prescription and I never went early seeking drugs but did end up in the hospital for a couple so I didn't get there 4 weeks later, I was a couple weeks late so they cut me off which the meds are extremely physically addictave and you should be weaned off slowely
