I can't explain the frustration with this office and staff. My story is exactly the same as "Don't waste my time"'s but wih a few additional colorful warm fuzzy moments. I won't bother to list them all, but the following is jaw dropping in a professional office:

Doctor himself was in the open hallway in earshot and plain view having an lengthy animated discussion with someone about his redwood deck while running late, and then after that discussion concluded and he had retreated to his back office I could hear him loudly vocalize to someone that he couldn't everywhere at once and that there was only one of him and could do only so much in one day.

I should have left...

I was surprised and impressed on my first visit that Dr. Larsen did not immediately recommend I order new orthotics. Then on subsequent visits he and his staff were only concerned that my current pair were working property.

I was a new patient and my appointment was right after lunch. The girls that opened the door were 10 minutes late to begin with. While filling out the paperwork 2 other people came in. They both were called in BEFORE I was. The receptionist didn't think about WHEN my appt. was scheduled, only that I brought my paperwork up after the others. I then waited a 1/2 hour from my scheduled appointment before I was called in. The nurse was nice enough and told me that this doesn't usually happen , that the receptionist was new. She then told me that she would make sure that I was the next patient he saw. 45 minutes later I came out of the room to leave. The receptionist then said, "Oh he went in the wrong room, sorry". If the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing??????The Doctor himself may be great, but if your staff isn't on the ball, it makes the doctor look bad. I've been in too many of these offices....been there, done that! Off to find a more competent office/doctor.(?)

Not at all. It was obvious they didn't care about me

Yes, they said I was overreacting, and I knew I wasn't

Mostly, I was still a little nervous

Not at all. They closed early even though they knew I needed help

Their staff is friendly & welcoming. They are warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. Dr, Larsen is clearly an expert. I know good Dr.'s, I'm an O.R. R.N.. I would never feel unsafe or apprehensive in their care. They would never suggest that I buy something that wasn't necessary, and never pressured me. They were always very considerate and professional. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary.
