Although this survey is geared more toward retail rather than medical office, I can tell you that Dr. Furst treated my husband for many years and was a 'miracle maker' of sorts. He saved my husband's diabetic foot. He made many trips to the hospital when my husband was confined and his manner is strong, yet friendly and always made one smile. The office personnel are friendly and caring. My husband loved them. I personally had treatment from Dr. Furst and all that was done for my husband was done for me - a caring and comprehensive examination; informative discussion with Dr. Furst and when I left there I felt that I knew what my pain was about, the cause of it and what I needed to do to make it better.. This doctor has a great reputation in all areas of his practice as witnessed by the nurses in the hospitals that my husband was in and from other doctors. If you need a foot doctor, this is the best on Long Island. Although I have never had anything to complain about I noted how other patients were treated and it was always with respect and friendliness. They take every concern very seriously and strive to ensure that patients leave well informed with each visit. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel that all would be all right. What struck me as the icing on the cake is that Dr. Furst, in addition to his practice and surgeries, he donates his time to worthy causes and projects. All in all, this is a magnificent doctor and person!

I went to this dr over 20 years ago. He was excellent but I left because I didn't want to deal with his rude staff who I heard talking about me as I was sitting in the waiting room. I decided to give him another try as my children now needed a good podiatrist. Upon calling I was yet again confronted with a very rude receptionist with an attitude as I told her that I had empire as insurance. She continued to ask "which one" very rudely 3 seperate times. I had to get rude back to her and explain that I don't know insurances but I know I have a copayment. Isn't that her job!!! She moved onto her next question very rudely asking me additional questions and told me it was at least a month til my children can be seen. At which time I told her thanks but no thanks. I wish these doctors would realize how much business they lose by rude staff even if they are good doctors. In 20 years Dr Furst still has rude staff!!
