I was a patient at Dr. Curtis' office for 2 years. In that time they made two very serious mistakes.

The first was when I was in for an annual physical and they were drawing blood. They had provided the lab with the wrong social security number so my blood sample was mixed up. I caught the mistake and had it corrected immediately.

The second mistake took place a year later at another annual physical. Dr. Curtis' office requested bloodwork on my behalf that was unneccessary. She requested a vitamin D deficiency test for a healthy 25 year old male with no symptoms. I was in for a routine physical. Because of this added test, I had to pay $75 on top of my co-pay.

I asked the doctor to speak with the lab company or to pay for the mistake and they refused, even getting rude with me. They stated that I wasn't a doctor and didn't know which tests were routine and which were not. However, I had done a great deal of research on this test and found NO INSTANCES where this test would be given to a healthy 25 yeara old male with no symptoms of bone loss or vitamin D deficiency.

Kathleen Curtis' office was rude, uncooperative and frankly, has made grave mistakes concerning patient safety. I have left this office and would NEVER recommend Dr. Kathleen Curtis to anyone.
