I saw Dr. Pierce for "TMJ" services in August of 2009. After telling me that there wouldn't be any problems filing a claim through my insurance, I have found that it has been anything but that. The insurance company isn't the problem, though; it's the fact that he is incompetent and cannot fill out the proper form or fill in the proper codes or dates correctly. Almost 11 months later, I still have not received the proper claim forms that need to be filled out by him in order to submit to my insurance company. His services are outrageous and after 5 months of mistreatment, I saw another doctor who informed me that he overcharged me for all of my service and was not actually helping my problem. After seeing another dentist for 5 visits, my problem was fixed in less than $1000. He charged me a total of $4750 for 5 months of bad service. DO NOT GO TO THIS ORTHODONTIST!! He is a rip-off and very unprofessional!

Rude, arrogant, pompous, condescending…just a few adjectives to describe this jerk. We left his care after almost two years. He is a complete control freak who appears to enjoy trying to make mothers feel inferior and stupid in front of their children. My child has had an additional two years of braces to correct and complete what he started. Take it from us; don’t even waste your time with him.

Dr. Pierce is rude, intimidating, moody, and has terrible bed side manners. He instills the fear factor to get you to begin treatment with him immediately. During our first meeting he stressed the problems my children had with their teeth. He said if the problems are not fixed, then they will have TMJ or other serious issues. After 18+ months, one of my children still has a pronounced overbite and he refuses to acknowledge my child has an overbite. When questioned about the overbite, he becomes offended and asks if we have a medical degree in Orthodontics.

His billing practice is questionable and therefore would not trust him. If your employer happens to change insurance in the middle of the treatment, then Dr. Pierce will not abide by the original contract and will milk more money out of you even if the insurance benefits are identical between the first insurance and second. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH HIM!!
