I love Dr.Skoney, he is allways funny and in a great mood. I am very hard to fit with contacts and he literally didn't give up until I found something that fit me without any issues. You get what you pay for and here it is quality service. I have also seen Dr.Gautreau who is the sweetest. I recommend them to anyone and everyone because they are so knowledgeable and willing to work for you.

I have never had a problem with Dr. Gautreau. She is excellent and very knowlagable. She has always been very thorough with my examinations and there are no complaints about her.

On the other hand, I have iussues with the outer office. I was fitted for my glasses and everything was discussed with me including the high price for the total package. I agreed to it and I received my glasses on time. They fitted me and told me that it would take 2-3 weeks before I got adjusted to my progressive lenses, since I had never worn them before. I did just that and I tried but for some reason they were not working. So I went back several times to the point of where I was being very annoying. So, finally I thought that it might be that the frame was defective because it would not stay on my face straight. It always tilted to the left and down, no matter how I bent the ear piece. So, they ordered me a new frame (same style). It had started out ok for about a month and then I started having the same problem. I atributed it to a poor quality frame and I learned a lesson: to take my first intuition and get my prescription and go to a more reasonablly priced place to get it filled. That way I would not be out almost $500.00 if they did not work. I was told at the beginning, after asking them what I could do if they did not work, that they could not replace the lenses but they would work with me in getting them to work for me. Well the lenses were made for that pair of frame, so since they did not work twice, I felt it a waste of time to keep wasting my time in going back and complaining. I do not like to complain so that is why I learned a valued lesson.

Another problem I had was that about six months after the initial visit, I received a bill from them stating that I owed them another $470. I immediatly called and questioned this because I remember the conversation I had with the optical assistant, that what I paid initially was almost $500.00 and that the insurance would carry the remainder. So when I received this extra bill, they told me that I had bought contac lenses from them before my year expiration time for me to have had insurance cover that amount of $470. I wanted to scream because this had happened the year before. They did not schedule my appointment at the right time so my insurance would not cover my visit. I did not make a big deal about it then. But when it came time to schedule my appointment for the next visit I know I asked the girl three times if she was sure the date was appropriate for the insurance to kick in. She said yes. She did not mention anything about purchasing supplies affecting the date status of insurance payment. She could tell I was ticked, with good reason, and I told her I was not paying another dime on glasses that were not worth the initial $500 let alone another $500. She said that she would take care of it.

So, needless to say, I will not be back. I feel bad because I like Dr. Gautreau. She is an excellent physician and I will truly miss her. But she needs to clean house up front.
