Paul T Zaydon

Bad treatment, awful customer service.

My wife went for an evaluation. Dr. Zaydon recommended treatment with prescription meds. My wife is breast feeding our infant son, and so she asked the Dr. to be sure that anything he prescribed would be safe to use while in that situation. She had the baby with her right there in the office, so he could not have missed it. He nodded in agreement, and wrote her 2 prescriptions.

After we bought the medicine ($$$), we read the caution statements and both of them said to AVOID while breastfeeding. One of the medicines was said to contribute to tumors in infants. Nice. So now we are out the cost of the visit, and the cost of the medicine, and my wife is no closer to better because she can’t take the medicine.

It gets worse. The billing office refuses to invoice Blue Cross for the procedure performed during the office visit because they “know” it won’t be covered. I called Blue Cross and they told me it WILL be covered, and that it was wrong for Dr. Zaydon’s office to submit an impartial/incomplete claim for services rendered that day. It is up to Blue Cross to approve or deny claims, it is not up to local offices to second-guess what is covered, since every plan/policy is different. To add insult to injury, the billing office clerk is cartoonishy rude. I suspect this office deliberately under-reports to Blue Cross as a business practice, because what they charge the clients is probably much more than what Blue Cross would agree to reimburse. That would explain why the clerk is so defensive and condescending.

I know this is not an isolated situation, because I went there once a few years ago and was unimpressed with the treatment I received, and I had the exact same billing issues (…they said B.C. would not pay, and B.C. DID pay once the office submitted the claim correctly). We decided to give them another chance. We won’t be back.

Stay away.
