Sherif Khalil, MD is a native Houstonian in spirit and education. Medicine has been an integral part of his life, as his parents and wife are also physicians in Houston. Dr Khalil attended St. John's High School in Houston and then graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University. He then returned to Houston to pursue his medical degree, residency in Ophthalmology, and an additional year of fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center-Houston.
He practiced in west Houston for eight years with H Tom Youens, MD before joining Houston Eye Associates. His surgical practice is focused on two primary areas: no needle, no stitch cataract surgery and plastic surgery of the eyelids.
