Charles Lawrie
Charles M. Lawrie, M.D., M.Sc. is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. He is a high-volume expert in robotic and minimally invasive anterior approach hip replacement, robotic-assisted partial knee replacement, robotic total knee replacement and anterior approach hip resurfacing. He also performs revision hip and knee surgery. Dr. Lawrie routinely performs these advanced joint replacement procedures using state-of-the-art imaging, planning software and intraoperative technology to optimize implant positioning, alignment and soft tissue balance. An award-winning researcher and orthopedic innovator, Dr. Lawrie has contributed to the design and development of hip and knee implants and surgical technologies now used worldwide. He is an active leader in clinical research and surgical education, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and regular presentations at major orthopedic conferences. His research has been recognized with honors including the RAND Young Investigator Award from American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the Mark B. Coventry Award from the Knee Society.
