After experiencing caring providers in her life not only for herself, but also for family members, Dr Al-Marie Grace Logroño knew she wanted to pursue medicine.

“I have encountered doctors who are so compassionate and they check on you not only as a patient but as a person, and they check on your family members,” Dr Logroño said. “It was hard on my mom after my father died from a stroke. Growing up, I thought I want to be like those doctors who care for patients holistically. That is what intrigued me to get into medicine.”
