Dr. Ansstas is a board-certified gastroenterologist who completed an advanced endoscopic fellowship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, which is one of the highest-ranked programs in the nation. He earned his medical degree from Tishreen University School of Medicine in Lattakia, Syria, and then went on to complete his general gastroenterology fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis. Dr. Ansstas treats all disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, including general GI disorders, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disorders, esophageal disorders and biliary disorders. He also provides cutting-edge medical treatment for GI conditions that align with the latest research and technology. Dr. Ansstas is highly-skilled in several procedures, including endoscopies of the pancreas, intestines and bile ducts as well as endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), which is helpful in the diagnosis of diseases of the gallbladder, bile ducts, pancreas and liver. He is also specially trained in endoscopic ultrasounds and double balloon enteroscopy with altered anatomy, which is used to evaluate small bowel disease.
