I strongly believe that there are always several ways to find solutions to chronic health problems. I work with my patients to make lifestyle changes before starting medications. While medications are very important, I believe they should be used as a last resort. I know that if I help my patients adopt a healthier lifestyle, including cooking their own foods, staying away from processed foods, and avoiding harmful practices like smoking, I can help them and their families lead healthier lives.
I also believe in shared decision making when planning health care goals for my patients. I spend the time needed to make sure I understand my patients’ goals and that they understand their condition and treatment options. We work together to develop a plan of care that will help them meet their goals.
I strive to create a positive patient-provider relationship that helps my patients achieve their major health care goals. In the end, my goal is a healthy, happy patient.
