Dr Welch is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dallas and completed a residency in dermatology at the University of California-Irvine. She received Mohs fellowship training at Yale University, and after serving on the dermatology faculty there and at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, she returned to Colorado. Dr Welch is an assistant clinical professor for the dermatology department at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. She also serves on the executive board of the Colorado Dermatologic Society. Dr Welch serves as a scientific advisor to acne product and sunscreen manufacturers has been quoted in Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire, Health, Cooking Light, WebMD, and CNN.com.
