Shane Mario André Drakes, MBBS, is Program Director, Sports Medicine Fellowship and Assistant Professor, Rehabilitation Medicine at Montefiore Einstein. His clinical focus centers on non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. He uses ultrasound technology for injury evaluation and guidance when performing various procedures on musculoskeletal injuries. Dr Drakes is also interested in injury prevention and patient education. After obtaining his Bachelor of Medical Sciences in basic medical sciences from the University of the West Indies in Mona, Jamaica in 2004, Dr Drakes earned his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of the West Indies in Cave Hill, Barbados in 2006.
