Thomas Havranek, MD, is an attending physician and Associate Professor at Children’s Hospital at Montefiore and Montefiore-Einstein. His clinical focus is in prematurity, neonatal nutrition, surgical neonate, neonatal respiratory failure and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. In 1991, Dr Havranek received his Doctor of Medicine from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. From 1991 to 1993, he completed a two-year residency in anesthesiology and critical care at Masaryk Medical Center in Ústí nad Labem, Czech Republic. He then attended the Long Island College Hospital, completing a three-year pediatric residency in 1996.
