Dr. Parziale was Chief Resident of his Internal Medicine Residency at Rutgers-RWJMS, a position he thoroughly enjoyed thanks to its unique combination of administrative, educational, and patient care responsibilities. During fellowship he was actively involved in developing a new weight management clinic at the Manhattan VA, where he was also involved in research regarding the link between motivation (self-efficacy) and successful weight loss.
Dr. Parziale grew up admiring his father for his dedication to the field of medicine. Now, he is proud to be practicing in the same medical group. When Dr. Parziale is not in the office caring for patients, he can be found running, playing the saxophone, and cheering on the NY Red Bulls, NJ Devils and the Green Bay Packers.

Andrew Parziale, MD is a member of Summit Health's Endocrinology team. Dr. Parziale practices general endocrinology with a special interest in thyroid disease, thyroid ultrasound, ultrasound guided biopsy, and weight management. As a physician, Dr. Parziale not only makes it his focus to diagnose and treat, but to educate his patients every step of the way. He believes that with a greater understanding of their medical problems, patients can play a bigger role in their health care, which he feels leads to happier mindsets and more successful health outcomes. He values the Chinese proverb, Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. “As physicians, our calling is to teach our patients to equip them to heal, improve, and succeed,” says Dr. Parziale. For his dedication to his patients, Dr. Parziale was awarded the BRAVO!
