Board-certified in Medical Oncology, Dr Romero attended medical school at Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru. She completed residency training at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI and a fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at H Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. She joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2005.

Dr Romero has served as a sub-investigator on numerous Phase I, II and III clinical trials, and her work has been published in industry journals and presented at national and international meetings and symposiums.
