Stephanie Waggel, MD
At Improve Life, our mission is to provide you with personalized healing designed specifically to enhance your life. We take the approach of high quality individualized care for a few patients rather than the “assembly-line” approach used to treat a large number of patients. As Dr. Stephanie Waggel is both a medical doctor and therapist, patients do not need to make two separate appointments saving time, hassle, and money.
Dr. Waggel is a medical doctor, author, motivational speaker, and therapist. She was named a Physician of the Year 2016 by Medscape. Her physician-owned and operated clinic, Improve Life PLLC, provides patients with personalized healing. Her organization, Improve Medical Culture, strives for the betterment of behavior in the healthcare field. She has been working in the field of mental health for over ten years and she has experience in helping others, including other physicians, overcome life struggles. Recently, she hosted and was a speaker at the National Day to Prevent Physician and Medical Student Suicide in Washington, DC. The goal of this day was to decrease the stigma of mental illness that is present in the healthcare field and honor those who have taken their lives. Dr. Waggel was also filmed for the movie "Do No Harm" which exposes abuse in the medical education system. This year, she has spoken for organizations such as Public Citizen, Care2, and One Story. Also, this year, she has published articles with Physician Family and Kevin MD.
Dr. Waggel is familiar with many cultures. She has traveled to 35 countries and she has worked as a healthcare provider in 5 counties. Most recently, Dr. Waggel explored the healthcare system in Havana and Trinidad Cuba. Interpretation services are available to patients of Improve Life.
