Barbra Rogoff, LCSW

I work to build a strong relationship with each client, one that promotes trust, awareness and understanding. To that end I see counseling as a collaborative effort in which we are equal partners. This allows counseling to become a two-way process, a back-and-forth in which we talk with each other rather than at each other. This conversational style provides you with the freedom to tell your story in your own language, without any expectations or judgments and me the opportunity to share my thoughts, questions, and observations simply as food for thought.

Although I utilize many theories and techniques, my approach is primarily based on the belief that it is how and what we think that determines our beliefs, feelings and actions. If we can identify and learn to change our thinking patterns we can ultimately change our lives.

By utilizing complementary therapy approaches and techniques we can work together to uncover and change the thinking and behavior patterns that may be holding you back from experiencing a more rewarding and meaningful life. My goal is to help you discover your true self so that you may lead a life that is most fulfilling for you.
