EducationDr. Sommerfeldt's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Counseling and Psychology from Texas A & M University in Commerce, Texas, a Master's degree in Family Psychology from Hardin Simmons University in Abilene, Texas, and a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Alhambra, CA.
TrainingDr. Sommerfeldt received diverse training experiences, including working in a family counseling clinic working with children, adolescents, and families. She provided field-based services with older adults in assisted living center or in-home psychotherapy. She also received training in substance abuse disorders while working in residential drug treatment programs, as well as issues relating to family violence while working in a domestic violence shelter and received training working in corrections.
ServicesDr. Shelley Sommerfeldt, is a clinical psychologist, relationship coach, and the owner of the Loving Roots Project. She provides individual and couples coaching sessions online.
