My daughter was admitted here 2 years ago for severe depression after the death of her grandfather. Our daughter comes from a good Christian home, but the 5 days she spent was a living hell. The nursing staff who offered group counseling was demoralizing to her, and constantly put her down. They told her that she would eventually end up in jail. She was the only patient in her unit who was tested as drug free (they did daily testing on each patient), The other teenagers in her unit were there with criminal backgrounds and drug usage. She was not like any of these teens, but was treated as if she was. She still has nightmares about her time there. The only good thing that came from this time was her being placed on medication to help her with the depression. Thankfully, two years later, she is a beautiful successful college student who is earning all A's and B's.

I was here in residential treatment for a few months, and I can honestly say I miss it there. Although my visit was over a year ago, I still remember everything they did for me. The staff was very kind and caring, they treated me like a friend, and that is something I really needed. The medications I was put on really helped me a lot. I also liked the overall treatment program, I was able to get therapy while still getting an education and having other kids to talk to. And not to mention the food was amazing! I give Belmont Pines a 4.5 because they truly helped me get on the road to recovery. Thanks Belmont, you are the reason I am still alive today.
