My son was taken there by ambulance last Sat nite becasue of an accident . He was in excrutiating pain and did have a fractured leg. He had to ask for pain medication and then was given oral vicodin!!! This is really poor. I am an RN and have ER experience. He should have been given IM or IV Demerol or Morphine. After x-rays they had to cast his leg and he screamed and begged for something more for pain. He was told "well we don't know if you have a belly full of beer!!!" How outrageous!! He is a 44yrs old and has 2 children. You can't possibly be Joint Commission certified and you certainly didn't follow any "best practice standard" as far as pain control. I demand that this issue be addressed or further action will be taken. I don't want anyone else's family member treated the way my son was .
