She began her training in Chinese Medicine with apprenticeship under grandfather, a noted Chinese physician in China since 1969.
She served in hospital after completing her formal medical training at Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medical College, China in 1977.
From 1984 to 1987, she continued her studies with post-graduate work focusing on liver diseases at Nanjing Traditional Chinese Medicine University, and became a Chief Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at the university hospital in 1987.
1991-1992 she was in the Advanced Program of Infectious Diseases, (the Western Medicine training) at The People's Hospital of Jiangsh Province, Nanjing, China.
She came to the United States in 1993 and received her license to practice acupuncture in New York State in 1996.
2004-2005 She was teaching Chinese Herbal Medicine in the graduate program of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine at NY Chiropractic College as an adjunct Associate Professor
