Dr Knapp is amazing! 34 Yrs ago I was having fainting experiences and after many doctor and specialists appts I was sent to a psychologist. He suggested that I pick a new doctor, and I picked Dr Knapp and Thank God that I did. It wasn't in my head, he immediately picked up that I had MVP and sent me for an echogram. He put me on the appropriate meds and no problems since. He is a professional with a fun personality! He isn't a pill pusher like most doctors either, if you need them you get them, and that I really appreciate! AMAZING Doctor!

The office is very good with appointments. It's an old building and definitely not so up to date as some people would want but it's a realtively small town so it makes sense. For my purposes, dealing with psychological problems, I find that he is ineffective in treatment. I went to another doctor and she immediately diagnosed me with bipolar and sent me to a proper psychologist. I went through different antidepressants every month with him and it made my condition worse, to the point that I failed my first year of college. He didn't pick up on it. And when he broached the subject of suicide he hand signaled a gun in his mouth...very unprofessional and unsettling.
The fact that he doesn't go over test results with me is very frustrating as well, the best I get is a nurse leaving a voicemail on my home phone saying that the results were negative. The fact that I don't like his nurses (cranky women in their 50s) doesn't help either. And if medical students bother you, he has quite a few rotating in and out of his office.
All that said, I only go there for the occasional flu shot or a required physical and that is because I like him as a person and he is 5 minutes away.
