Dr Jeffrey Burns is Chief and Shapiro Chair of Critical Care Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and Professor of Anaesthesia at Harvard Medical School. As Chair of the ICU Governance Committee, he leads a collaboration of the physician and nursing leadership across the 4 intensive care units at BCH, and currently serves as the Program Director for the Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine. Dr Burns founded the BCH Simulation Program in 2000 and OPENPediatrics.org in 2008, and has published more than 200 articles, reviews, and educational media in pediatric critical care medicine.
