Our 2 year-old Lab had an accident at the park while playing with her brother. She suffered a really bad break of her right hind leg and was screaming in pain. I rushed her to LIVS and they were so informative and compassionate. We were so worried about her but Dr. Morgan reassured us that she would be fie after surgery and would make a full recovery. She's home resting now and in great spirits. If not for LIVS, we don't know what we would've done. Thanks you!!!

Dr. Morgan and his entire team were awesome! When Daisy hurt her knee this week it was so stressful not knowing how to help her. Her vet referred her to see a specialist for surgery. That was so scary! A friend at my husband’s work told us about LIVS and Dr. Morgan so i decided to make the 2 hour trip for the consult. I left there feeling so relieved. He was very knowledgeable and so compassionate! The facility seems very nice toswao. Although she doesn’t need surgery right away I feel confident that he will take the best care of her when the time comes. The trip was so worth it! Thank you Dr. Morgan and LIVS!!

It’s always a great experience. All the staff clearly love the animals. Dr. Tumulty is a fantastic vet, and he has our complete trust. He saved our girl 1 1/2 yrs ago and we’ll never forget it and always be thankful.

Every specialist is extremely knowledgeable Unfortunately, through the years we have been exposed to surgeons, internal medicine, and the dermatology dept. years ago one of our dogs had a rare immune system issue LIVS sent test results to veterinary universities for assistance and to as able to save a very sick dog
the location is easy to get to there is plenty of parking staff is there 24/7 which makes it easy as we did have an emergency in the middle of the night.
The facility is. spotless

They practice UNETHICAL veterinary care. When we first brought our sick dog in, they offered us MRI testing and highly risky surgery. We opted for medication management for a terminal condition that manifests in chronic pain and, ultimately, paralysis and death.

After a follow-up visit, we disagreed with the a condescending neurologist's suggestion that we keep our dog confined for two months. In addition, the steroid treatment prescribed proved ineffective and potentially harmful. Yet we continued with the compounded medication that we had to obtain with a week in advance from a pharmacy in Arizona.

Unbeknownst to us, when we ordered our most recent refill, we were denied, as we were informed that we should have scheduled another follow-up with that same condescending LIVS neurologist. At no point did anyone inform us that our script would run out and when we asked for any available vet to call in another refill, we were told there was no one available until Monday. So we are now left with a dog that will be in excruciating pain when her medication runs out because of LIVS. They should be called KILLS. My next step will be to file a complaint with the Veterinary licensing board.

I was treated terribly. I'm absolutely positive that I would have gotten better service anywhere else. I felt a little pressured to buy products, but it wasn't overbearing. Still, I wish they had been a little more professional. I was amazed that their staff could be so rude. They treated me and my pet like dirt. I was very unimpressed with their level of skill. It seemed like they had just started yesterday. They didn't give me advice that would benefit me at all. They only cared about what would make them the most money.
Approximate Cost:

$3,986.35

Description Of Work:

MRI, Analysis, Spinal Tap, Analysis. Third rate veterinarian interns doing the work while LIVS represents seasoned specialists. Member Comments:

We brought Petey into LIVS on 6/17 for a 12:00 appt. We
initially met with Dr. Carver and after a brief examination (about five
minutes) she told us that it seems that Petey has a problem with a disc in his
spine that is affecting his hind legs. He could not walk at this point since
Saturday but he did have feeling in both legs. She told us it was common in
dogs with short legs and long backs. She recommended an MRI and said they would
be able to operate immediately after the MRI after calling me to discuss the
findings. Both were to take place that day Monday 6/17.
Dr Marino called at 6:25 PM. He said the MRI did not show
what they expected. There was no disc problem. There was some foreign matter on
his spine and they took a spinal tap and sent it out for a lab. The result
would be back by Wed. 6/19 by 12:00 PM. I did not
authorize a spinal tap and should have been contacted before this was done.
I finally received a call from Dr. Marino at a 7:45 PM on
Wed. to discuss lab test results that they had since 10:00 AM. He told me there
were possibly two types of tumors on Petey’s spine which would require an
operation and biopsy. He also said “after a group
discussion with the other vets they could not come to a decision as to the
actual problem!” He said there would be additional monies due over and
above the $6300 I had already paid them due to the biopsy. Out of that $6300
paid $2400 was already allocated to an operation. Yet they were asking for
additional monies? I told him I needed to know those costs and he estimated
them to be between $900 and $1500 but would have someone call me with the new
billing amount. I told him I needed to think about what he had told me and
discuss the findings.
At this point I had lost confidence in their abilities to
properly diagnose and treat my dog. Come on now, give me a break, a group
discussion with the other vets and these experienced professionals couldn’t
identify the problem? Was I supposed to believe that? We talked it over and I
called back at 8:15 to inform them we would be there that night to pick up
Petey, and all his medical records and to settle my bill.
When we arrived there an hour later nothing was ready for
us. We collected Petey. We were supposed to be given complete medical records
detailing their actions and the complete MRI with a reading and the spinal tap
with a reading.
They gave me a dvd supposedly with the requested MRI
information. What they actually gave me was a disc with four jpeg files on it.
Not even 20% of the MRI. They also gave me information on Petey’s status which
was never updated. All of their information was not up to date. Some of Petey’s
bloodwork numbers were dangerously high and they neglected to point that out to
us. They were able to have my bill ready. Out of the original 6334.12 they were
refunding 2347.77 so it turns out I paid 3986.35 for an MRI, which wasn’t given
to me, a consultation which did not adequately describe his condition, a spinal
tap and analysis which I did not authorize, and which also was not interpreted
or explained, and two days stay at their location.
They are expert at padding the bill. If you want your pet worked on by third rate veterinary students and then be billed as if seasoned professionals were doing the work then bring your dog here. They are unprofessional, and operate without conscience. Stay away from this bogus place and bring your pet somewhere more responsible to be properly treated.
