I called to make an appointment, mentioned I was a first time customer, was put on hold twice, there seemed to be an appointment available agreeable to my schedule but then I was asked if I had purchased a Groupon, when I said no, put on hold and then they didnt seem to have an appointment to accommodate me. Really? and I'm paying full price. Needless to say, I found that rude and would never spend my money with someone so unprofessional.

I thought that Dana did a good job with my color and haircut, HOWEVER when I scheduled my next appointment, I was kept waiting for 45 minutes. She still did a good job so in an attempt to make a third appointment, I was told that because I wanted an evening appointment and she had just released a new Groupon that it would be over a month. WHAT? So she is accommodating new customers who use a Groupon over a loyal customer paying full price? Dana didn't even attempt to accommodate me and was rude. I would not recommend this salon to anyone.

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. When comparing them to others in their field, I would say they are by far the worst I have ever seen. I will never return. Dana especially was rude because I purchased a groupon to use. NEVER buy her groupon!

Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received. I called A Cut Above Hair Studio before purchasing their Groupon with a question about the options available. The woman I spoke to (who later identified herself as the shop owner) refused to answer any of my questions (I called to ask what a single-process color was vs. a full highlight—she could not answer that question?) and said I had to speak with a different stylist, who was handling all the Groupon customers (one stylist for all the Groupon customers—more than 90, the last time I checked?). So I called back at 10:30 the next day to speak with the other stylist. After asking my questions and finding out when she had a morning free, I told her I would need to check on childcare for my kids before confirming an appointment. Over the next two hours, I called five times and received no answer. Finally, the woman from the previous day called me back and said the morning I had been planning to schedule was now full. I expressed surprise and asked her to check again, which apparently upset her, because she gave me an earful about how busy they were with Groupon calls and how the phone had been ringing off the hook and how I couldn’t expect them to save an appointment for me. I told her I was just frustrated because I had called many times with no answer and began to explain that I needed to know about child care before confirming, but she cut me off, lectured me about how I didn’t understand their situation, and told me I was being rude. She then informed me that she was the owner of the store and said that “we are not going to have people in here who are rude to us.” I was in shock. If you are a Groupon customer, expect to be treated as a second-class citizen. Don’t waste your money. The good deal on a haircut is not worth the treatment you will receive. No one should have to pay someone who insults them.

Terrible experience. The stylist Dana Rabon is one of the rudest most non professional people that I have ever met. It should be a give away when the stylist does not even know how to color her own hair and it is a brassy blonde/orange color.

I've never had to worry about them being understaffed or not being able to help me right when I need it. They have a huge staff that's very knowledgeable and qualified. They were by far one of the best I've ever seen in their field. It was obvious that they've been exceeding their clients' expectations for many years. They answered my questions and spent a lot of time with me. I didn't feel like they were trying to rush my appointment at all. I don't think I have ever been put on hold here for a long time and am so impressed with how quickly all of my questions are answered. There's nothing worse than having to wait on hold for a half an hour just to get someone to talk to you.
