Last year I had to make an extremely hard decision of where to place my mom in her elder years. I was recommended to Golden Years Retirement Homes and I am extremely impressed with their care and attention to detail with each resident. When I visit my mom each week, I leave with the satisfaction of knowing she is in good hands. She is always telling me about the different crafts and games that they do each week. My mom is very dear to me and I would recommend Golden Years Retirement Homes to anyone.

I have placed numerous patient at this facility and all have done well and they have done well with them. It seems that this is a family size facility that bends to patient needs rather than asking patients to bend to their rules

I would never refer thhis place to any of my family and friends. Not sure who is authorized or credentialed to run this establishment, but they seemed non-existant, unavailable, or unconcerned. The rooms are depressing and unsightly and in need or repair, there is a noticeable odor upon entry. The rates are high, the value is very low. The food is assigned and if that is not what you can eat, then cottage cheese and peaches is your meal. Meal times are unusual, seeming to discourage attendance. It is not a suitable place to leave anyone you care about.

This facility does not provide a staffed reception desk. As I walked into the building, there was a small desk by an elevator, but no one was present and I had to ask a tenant where I might be able to find the person I came to visit. The interior appearance of the building was dated. Throughout my lunch hour visit, I did not see one individual that appeared to be employed by or represent the facility. To be frank, people were walking around as if it was a scene from "The Night of The Living Dead." I will never recommend this facility to any of my loved ones or friends. If you want an example of why you shouldn't send a loved one to a facility, this is a great example.
