Thank you to Dr. Mims and her staff for being very compassionate and caring in our urgent time of need for Tucker the cocker. The entire team was very professional, up front, and reassuring. We felt comfortable in making our choices and would recommend Dr. Mims and her team to anyone in need.

I have used this clinic four times over the years. It was pricy, but a good experience the first time with a sick puppy who pulled through with flying colors
The second time was a little more difficult as our young cat had been hit by a car and was dying from trauma. The expensive treatments were outlined in front of us and our children and we felt we had no option, but to agree. We paid the $545 up front and within 45 minutes were told that the cat had died. I felt that the staff knew the cat had little chance and seemed to take advantage of the grief of our children to push futile treatment.
The third time was only a year later when the new young cat was very sick. We were able to negotiate treatment outside of the lobby and our children and the cat was transferred the next day to the old animal hospital that used to be near Northwoods.$1500 total in treatment and I have a 14 year old cat sitting on my lap as I type this review.
The fourth time was when our then 12 year old cat had been poisoned with antifreeze by a neighbor. It was very much a similar situation with expensive treatment outlined in front of the entire grieving family. This time only a little over $400 in up front payment and we were greeted with the sorrowful news of the cat's death within 15 minutes of payment.
I cannot say I will not use this clinic again as they serve a valuable purpose. I have learned my lesson and will ask for the reality of treatment v. cost up front if I am ever in need of emergency animal care.
I think of Dr. Callie who will not take payment for euthanasia. Dr. Callie who stayed in the room with us and helped us stroke and pet our 18 year old cat as we all helped her through a veil of tears over the rainbow bridge. Dr. Callie who hugged us all and called us later that evening even though she had a waiting room full of patients. God bless those that special vets like Dr. Callie.

Immediately! They gave me a friendly greeting as soon as I walked in

Definitely not; I received the best service ever!
Was it easy to find parking at this provider's office?
Extremely easy, and close to the entrance

Absolutely! I'm always able to get my questions answered over the phone right away!
Has this provider ever cancelled your appointment on you last minute?
Never, they are very reliable.

Our cat, at age 17, had reached that point where euthanasia was really the only option, she was suffering, and that was the LAST thing we wanted. Unfortunately, it was a Sunday, and this was the only vet clinic open that we were aware of. We were very disappointed in their handling of the entire situation-we brought her in, and told both the women at the desk that it was "time"...which they totally disregarded. They took us into a treatment room, and then took her (the cat) away to "put in the IV line to administer the drugs, and put her on oxygen". When they brought her back, she was in even more distress, and this is NOT what we wanted to see. They left us in the treatment room with the cat, and told us the Dr would be with us shortly. The cat began having seizures, and was very listless. We just wanted to end her suffering. My husband went to the desk, and asked that they send the Dr in ASAP, we wanted this done so she didn't have to suffer anymore. Ten minutes later the Dr came in and began to examine her, with the necessary syringes in her hand. The cat is OBVIOUSLY suffering, is NOT going to get better, and you want to do a full "well cat" exam? My husband finally had to DEMAND that she administer the shots, which she finally did. There was NO reason to make this animal, who had done nothing but give us unconditional love and affection for the entirety of her life, suffer like that. It was OBVIOUS she was suffering. Never again will we use this facility.

They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was somewhat friendly,I found the desk person very rude and somewhat sarcastic.My experience with the doctor was ok he tried to be very helpful,my problem came with the bill it was 1052.00 for one nite of fluids and care, to me that was extreme.I spoke to or should I say tried to speak to the desk person about my concerns with the bill and she said "well meds cost money its not free"so she was no help at all...I pray I do not need there services again!!!

They answered most of my questions but I could have used more. One of the techs there was awful, talked down to us and made us feel like we were being reprimanded about our pet like a child. Not only was she defensive when we asked questions, she was overall rude and judgmental. Then, they tried to charge us for medicine that was issued to the wrong species at a hundred dollars more! They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The office was easy enough to find. the only decent person there was the doctor.

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they didn't go out of their way to help me. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. Not to mention they kept my pet nearly 3 days before they would do anything to help her get better. It takes "3 days" to control a fever but yet do nothing about the actual cause of the fever which is clear as day! then want to slap on an addition 1200.00 to what your already paying for the 3 night stay to sleep because of sleepy meds they gave her for a grand total of 2400 bucks for drian tubes????? are you kidding me!.I would never recommend bringing your pet here unless absolute necessary and even then I would question it until a Monday. They seem to just be taking people’s money vs helping their family members. When confronted about why they didn’t do anything for the first 3 days they were like I am not sure why the Dr. didn’t do anything. As they say ma’am I sorry that I just sucked all this money out of you to do nothing! Seriously they are rotten!
