Sybil has cut my hair for a couple of years now, and I have yet to be disappointed. She does a fantastic job.

I had very long hair down past my waist and decided to get it cut short and donate the ponytail to Wigs for Kids (a children's cancer foundation). This salon was one nearby that said they supported Wigs for Kids, which pays for a free haircut if you donate 12 inches of hair or more.

Unfortunately, I can't remember the stylist's name, but she did a fantastic job. She even braided my hair before cutting off the part to be donated, and I loved the asymmetrical cut that she gave me. I was 100% happy with the haircut and her professionalism.

The only problem I had was when I went to the register, and a woman who I'm presuming was the manager told me I owed $32.00. I had agree to pay $10 extra for blow-drying and styling, but my stylist had assured me that the Wigs for Kids donation covered everything except blow-drying. The manager told me that that wasn't the case, and that I needed to pay for everything "extra", including the sink shampoo, the blow-dry, AND a long hair charge. Even though the first thing the stylist did was cut off my long hair.

I was really disappointed by that, especially because all the staff had been telling me how great it was that I was donating my hair. Maybe the stylist wasn't completely sure what the protocol was for donations (which is understandable, as I seemed to have been the only person to donate there in a long time, if ever).

I made it very clear when I came in that if the free donation haircut only covered a spray-bottle basic cut, then that's all I wanted. I was repeatedly told that it covered everything except blow-drying. Before I went to the register, I gave the stylist a $15 tip because she'd done a great job! Not cool, but only because of that manager, sadly.

I had an appointment with one woman and she did a good job, she quit and another woman took over. She did my hair once and did a good job, but then she quit and another woman took over. They confirmed my appointment two days in a row, and then called me 15 hours before my scheduled appointment to cancel me as the new gal had an emergency and had to leave town. They absolutely could not get me in, and had noone else. I would have to reschedule. No, I don't think so. Obviously, you don't want my business, and your employees must not be very happy there. I certainly haven't developed a loyalty to you, and that would be your fault.

Terrible job on my nails. Went in for a simple gel manicure and the gel all came off within two days. She also made them look very messy, gel all over my skin.

Always greet me by name. Very professional. Took me a while to find someone I felt comfortable with and...best yet...my hair turns out exactly how I like it. My Mother had her nails done by Janice for years before she passed. Janice would send my Mom cards when she was ill or for the holidays.

I paid way to much for an uncomfortable hair cut with an awful style. The stylist did not even show me the back. When I got home I was horrified. I lost several inches when all I wanted was a half inch trim. Will not be back...

This was my first time dying my hair and I came to Dillards believing I'd be paying a professional to do a balayage on me (it was $120 for the color and toning). I have medium to dark brown hair down to my chest that has never been colored and is quite easy to work with.

I came in prepared, with several photos and explained exactly what I did and didn't want. I knew that the finished product wouldn't be exactly like the photos, but since my stylist not only claimed to have 10 years experience but "had done balayage a million times" I thought I was in good hands.
After two hours, my stylist tried to send me on my way. I looked in the mirror and was shocked to what I saw. The bottom of my hair was the same color, but there were a few chunky unblended blond highlights coming from the top of my head (think early 2000's highlights). I told her nicely, this wasn't what I wanted and showed her the images again, asking her if she can put much more blond at the bottom (as it was still a relatively dark brown) and blend in these highlights. With some attitude she put some more bleach in my hair, and left me with foils in for another hour or so. All the while, she kept me turned away from the mirror and strangely wouldn't allow me the option to look.
In the end, my hair looked so ridiculous I just wanted to leave. I had already been there for almost over two hours and it was obvious that I wasn't going to get the balayage I wanted. Feeling uncomfortable, and being exhausted, I paid and left. I came home and my friends and family were horrified at the outcome and demanded that I went back and got a refund. I didn't get a look at it from the underside but the color was so unforgivable, I had to call the manager of Dillards and tell her what was going on. I will definitely have to go somewhere else to get it fixed or may have to try to dye it black.

I would not recommend this salon to anyone. Although the people are friendly, they absolutely do not know what they are doing.
