I I could give a zero I would. The Director there is deceitful and has the Social Worker and activities employees lying for her. Covering things up. Totally handled this COVID UNJUST!!!! They allowed people to visit and then stopped when the rules and regs came down. Testing was being done, etc. They, however, got careless and did not test their employees coming back into the facility to protect the elderly patients there and she was in contact with her own family member COVID positive and new this and still went to work at Cypress exposing NUMEROUS patients who are now COVID positive. They keep the public out, but do not even make it mandatory for their OWN WORKERS to be tested prior to entering from time off???? Now they are in quarantine, family will never see them now. They did this dirty and knowingly.

This would be minus zero, if they allowed that score. This place is a complete zoo. They treat patients like crap. Patients fall out of bed because there is no one to assist them. I have seen them fall and go out by ambulance. I have found medications on the floor, table, cup, and seen dirty rooms, dirty linen on the floors. Bathrooms stink. Cannot get a wheelchair in them without hitting the door jams. One toilet for 4 people and some take a long time. The others wet themselves or their diapers/pants. Have heard the nursing staff talk about the patients and how they "get on their nerves". I have seen a woman who goes there all the time and patients call out to her like she works there. Lights stay on forever. Even the emergency light for the bathroom, when someone needs assistance is not answered for hours, if answered at all. The cockroaches are another story. There are also water bugs. I do know the difference between the two. They fire people who do not do their jobs and then rehire them back. Some in housekeeping have been rehired a two times and one SIX times. They have people there, then they are gone for months and all of a sudden show back up. At one point I have seen the administrator and the Manager for Rehab doing patient care because there were no nurses. The girl in the back who does admissions, the girl names Victoria and the girl names Lindsay do patient care as well. None of them are "nurses". Who does their chart notes? A nurse up front said they were asking other "nurses" to document the charts. (This however I did not hear, but was told). The most other concerning thing is that marijuana laced with other drugs are in that facility and patients are smoking it. One man actually overdosed and was dead in the hallway and the other refused to go to the hospital and just wanted to "sleep". He passed out in the courtyard and threw up in his room. He did not remember anything at all the next day and was asking what happened. Employees are bringing in drugs for the patients. That is pretty bad. It has been reported. I would NEVER in a million years recommend this place to ANYONE!! I mean ANYONE EVER!! The nurses aids they do have, for the most part work their butts off, but have so many patients they do not have time to get breaks and sometimes no lunch. You go in there and you will figure it out really fast, who is there to work with the patients and who is there to just collect a paycheck and "look" busy. I went in one night late because I forgot something in my mother's room and one of the aids was asleep at the nurses station in the back and didn't even know I went by her. Good patient care right there!!!

This facility does not provide appropriate care to patients. They have two CNA's on the floor for (currently) 82 patients. How in God's name do two CNA's see 40 something patients a piece and get them all taken care of within an 8 hour shift? They DON'T. Some do not get assistance in the bathrooms, some are falling, some are being transferred to the hospital. Administrator does NOT in any way care about a patient there. They are "FOR PROFIT" which means their #1 priority is money, not patient care and it shows. Bugs present, food sucks, no diets are specific for a diabetic or cardiac patient. They serve outdated food, unidentifiable food or serve food and the patient never gets to eat it because no one is there to feed them. Patient deceased in bed and it is not noticed until someone "happens" to go in that room. Then the patient is found. Physical Therapy Manager and Administrator doing patient care in the patient's rooms because there is no staff. Administrator asks CNA's, who did not care for a patient, to put notes in that patient's chart showing that care was provided by them when it was actually the Administrator herself or the Physical Therapy Manager. One woman is constantly harassed by staff because she takes care of her mother and is there almost every single day. I overheard one of the staff yelling at this woman and telling her and her mom if they did not like the care there they could leave. This came from the Director of Nursing I found out. This person was just fired fro another facility and hired at Cypress and is NOT a people person at all. They cannot provide care, they leave people in pissy beds all wet and stinky and people who have defecated on themselves in their wheelchairs and it could take over an hour sometimes more to get assistance unless you go and find someone. I would NOT ever recommend this place......EVER!!!!

I don't know who is giving this dump 3 stars, they deserve minus 5. My mom recently had the misfortune of being there for 2 weeks after a life altering surgery. Most of the staff we encountered were rude, inattentive, and totally uncaring. The last few days mom was here I had to hunt down a staff member just to get her dinner delivered. They didn't feed her lunch either. The doctor/director is as negligent as his staff. With his misdiagnosis and failed promises to return calls. They're liars, thieves, and money grabbers. I went to gather my mom's belongings and they'd stolen several items. There was NO ONE available to ask where her things were. I entered the facility and they scattered like roaches. I wouldn't put my enemy's dog here. This is not an exaggeration. Please beware.

There are too many patients there for the staff on duty. The call light stays on and no one pays attention immediately unless the patient's family member calls it to their attention. Happens too often.
