I I could give a zero I would. The Director there is deceitful and has the Social Worker and activities employees lying for her. Covering things up. Totally handled this COVID UNJUST!!!! They allowed people to visit and then stopped when the rules and regs came down. Testing was being done, etc. They, however, got careless and did not test their employees coming back into the facility to protect the elderly patients there and she was in contact with her own family member COVID positive and new this and still went to work at Cypress exposing NUMEROUS patients who are now COVID positive. They keep the public out, but do not even make it mandatory for their OWN WORKERS to be tested prior to entering from time off???? Now they are in quarantine, family will never see them now. They did this dirty and knowingly.

This would be minus zero, if they allowed that score. This place is a complete zoo. They treat patients like crap. Patients fall out of bed because there is no one to assist them. I have seen them fall and go out by ambulance. I have found medications on the floor, table, cup, and seen dirty rooms, dirty linen on the floors. Bathrooms stink. Cannot get a wheelchair in them without hitting the door jams. One toilet for 4 people and some take a long time. The others wet themselves or their diapers/pants. Have heard the nursing staff talk about the patients and how they "get on their nerves". I have seen a woman who goes there all the time and patients call out to her like she works there. Lights stay on forever. Even the emergency light for the bathroom, when someone needs assistance is not answered for hours, if answered at all. The cockroaches are another story. There are also water bugs. I do know the difference between the two. They fire people who do not do their jobs and then rehire them back. Some in housekeeping have been rehired a two times and one SIX times. They have people there, then they are gone for months and all of a sudden show back up. At one point I have seen the administrator and the Manager for Rehab doing patient care because there were no nurses. The girl in the back who does admissions, the girl names Victoria and the girl names Lindsay do patient care as well. None of them are "nurses". Who does their chart notes? A nurse up front said they were asking other "nurses" to document the charts. (This however I did not hear, but was told). The most other concerning thing is that marijuana laced with other drugs are in that facility and patients are smoking it. One man actually overdosed and was dead in the hallway and the other refused to go to the hospital and just wanted to "sleep". He passed out in the courtyard and threw up in his room. He did not remember anything at all the next day and was asking what happened. Employees are bringing in drugs for the patients. That is pretty bad. It has been reported. I would NEVER in a million years recommend this place to ANYONE!! I mean ANYONE EVER!! The nurses aids they do have, for the most part work their butts off, but have so many patients they do not have time to get breaks and sometimes no lunch. You go in there and you will figure it out really fast, who is there to work with the patients and who is there to just collect a paycheck and "look" busy. I went in one night late because I forgot something in my mother's room and one of the aids was asleep at the nurses station in the back and didn't even know I went by her. Good patient care right there!!!
