My mother was at Braswell Colonial Care for 7 months. The facility did not seem to care that my mother recover from fer broken leg and get back on her feet. So she is still bedridden. The communication with the staff was basically non existent. They led us to believe that she was refusing to do things that would have helped her recover. She was never taken to shower because they said she didn't want to. She saw the Dr literally once in the whole seven months. She had many complaints and cried often and yet they told us she was happy there. She has been in a new facility for three weeks. She says the food is good and hot, the bed is comfortable and it smells better. She had a shower in her second week of being there, has seem the Dr on her second day and is being evaluated by a therapist for further therapy. When we are asked what facility she came from nurses, transport people, the therapist and others have all commented that they were aware that that is just what happens at Braswell Colonial Care. Shame on you Braswell treating your patience with such disreguard. These people are not throw away people.

I am not going to refer my family and friends here. I just wasn't that impressed. I haven't seen any coupons or discounts for this provider's office, but I haven't really looked. They never mention anything about promotions when I'm there. While having a phone conversation with my great aunt last night, I could hear a disturbance, my aunt grew scared and she got very quite. I heard some man he was yelling quite loudly referring to some person as " some Bitches". He went on for some time, then I heard a young women crying. Come to find out that this disturbing incident was from an employee, a CNA named Shawn. I've heard that this wasn't his first outburst, needless to say I'm relocating my great aunt to a more serene environment. That man should be fired or at least be made to attend anger management classes.

I wish they gave me good advice, but most of the time they only give me advice that would benefit them. It was nice to hear how much the staff respected them. It made me that much more confident that I was under the care of a professional. They definitely promised me a few things that they weren't able to fulfill. Most of what they said was accurate, but not all. One of the first things I noticed about this business was how many different areas of the building were handicap-accessible. I have been to other places where I couldn't tell how someone in a wheelchair could even enter, but they really spent a lot of time to accommodate people with all different needs.
