Dr. H was a very good, I should say great Doctor. I would not hesitate for a second to recommend him to anyone. Staff was wonderful and his nurse has been great in relaying messages to me about my conditions. I cannot say enough great things about these folks.

I have visited Dr. Heitzman numerous times. I was diagnosed with ALS in October 2012. I have been to the monthly ALS clinic on numerous occasions. The Dr. and every single staff member at the clinic are kind, caring and compassionate people. If I have one criticism of the practice, it would be on the communication side of things. The phone system is maddening at times with far too many choices. It takes too much time as well as some guessing to try to get to the correct person. To me that is an operations issue, not a medical competency issue. The care is great which is the most important thing. For anyone complaining about waiting at a doctors office.............really? Find something realistic to gripe about.

I was confident that they were using the latest treatment methods. I met Dr. Heitzman for the first time when they were short doctors, my appt was for 8:15, they always seem to want you to show up 30 minutes early so I was there at 7:45am, and it was 9:25 before the doctor stepped in to see me. He apologized profusely, explained the situation and really went out of his way to respect my time. What I find frustrating is getting in contact with his office, even if they call and they leave their name they only leave the general number without an extension, so you go through the maze and you ask for the person and twice I have been on hold listening to a recording thank me for my patience in excess of 20 minutes. I liked the doctor but getting to him is about impossible, the least they could do is forward you to a voicemail so you don't have to wait. I have a condition where it's exhausting to have to wait so long, so improvement here is needed badly. However, the doctor is great.
