Incredibly rude and uncaring of the patients' well-being. The appointments never start on time, we have to wait between 10-15 minutes every visit. What's the point of making us arrive on time then if they don't practice being punctual themselves. They don't ever explain the terms they use on me, and when I ask, they seem annoyed as if everyone should know the dental jargon. I had to come back multiple times for a procedure that they were unable to perfect the first visit. Some of the staff are very friendly but others are downright condescending.

I tried this dentist for the first time after seeing fairly positive reviews. I went in for a routine cleaning and check-up, and was told that I needed to spend $900 to fix a tiny whole on my root canal (I got a second opinion and was told this wasn't necessary).
The cleaning was thorough and seemed well done. However, the dental hygienist and the dentist were very robotic in their manners. Upon meeting the dentist for the first time, she did not greet me at all, nor did she give her name, so I can't identify her. She spent about 1-2 minutes looking inside my mouth, with little to no explanation of the checkup results, besides needing a $900 fix. She did so very quickly, stood up abruptly, and left, without any departing greeting. Overall, the service was poor, and I might be skeptical of their recommendations, although the cleaning seemed fairly well done.

I have had a wonderful experience at the Bountiful Monarch Dental office over the past 2 years. The front office is very friendly and greets me by name when I come through the door. I feel like a person and not a patient. My dentist is very personable and tells me what is involved for the procedure. She makes sure that I am comfortable and answers all of my questions. I have never had an issue with my dental treatment.

My kids have received excellent orthodontic treatment from the orthodontist. He is thorough and always makes my kids smile during their visit.

I would highly recommend this office!

Very disappointed overall with my experience at Monarch Dental. I called to set up an appointment with their orthodontist to get a loose permanent retainer re-attached. The day of the appointment they called to reschedule my appointment because one of their hygienists had gone home with a family emergency. Not a problem - except I hadn't made an appointment to see their hygienist! I had specifically mentioned when making my appointment that I wanted to see their orthodontist for a loose retainer. When I mentioned this, they said I could come in anyway and see the dentist, but their orthodontist was only available every other Tuesday. What?!?!?! I decided to go in anyway, because I really wanted to get this retainer re-attached.

One thing I liked was that they were very clear about how much things would cost. They contacted my insurance, found out my deductible, and informed me the exact cost of the treatment prior to beginning any work. I appreciated this.

However, when the dentist came to fix my retainer, she didn't ask me any questions, she just started to put the glue on my teeth to re-attach the retainer! They did not even attempt to clean it before putting the glue on! I was glad that I had brushed my teeth prior to going, but I still wondered if they shouldn't clean it beforehand.

After the procedure, I felt the glue on my teeth, unlike the other places where I have had glue on the back of my teeth for 17 years (that's how long I have had these retainers in), this one felt large and glommy (word?). To me, it was very unprofessionally done.

To top everything off, this was done on a Thursday. Sunday, I was eating AND IT CAME OFF! The glommy cement they put on my teeth came off and I am now going to have to go another dentist/orthodontist to get it fixed because I will not be returning to Monarch dental in Bountiful. My family was looking for another dentist and we will not go there, nor will I be recommending them to anyone I know. Very poorly done!
