My son went to the Air Force for a pre-induction physical last summer, and they sent us some issues which required follow-up. He was directed to get a complete eye check, so we searched for an ophthalmologist who would do the exam. One result, “Optical Disc with Ganglion Cell”, was borderline, and we were told to submit a rescan again in 6 months before the AF would determine waiver status for enlistment.
On our FIRST follow-up visit for a rescan in March, after checking in, we sat in the office more than an hour, until it cleared out. When the office staff found us still sitting out there waiting our turn, we were informed that all the doctors left already, and we had to reschedule (merely an honest mistake by the receptionist who forgot we were there). They DID get a reappointment scheduled only 2 days later, but the only test done was a peripheral vision test, NOT the “Optical Disc” scan. We had to make another appointment for that. When that “exam” was conducted, the required “Optical Disc” scan was NOT done, merely a visual exam with a narrated result, so we pointed out again that we needed all the tests redone that were done last August - including demonstration of the C to D ratio. We were called back in, but only an OPD (corneal) Scan was done, NOT the Retinal “Optical Disc” scan with the pictures and description that we got last August – those that we were told needed to be redone in 6 months in the first place.
The office had a policy posted that requires payment for no-shows, so I asked if that policy was reciprocal from our first visit on March 12th, and if we would get the same discount, but was told that it wasn’t a two-way street. We had to pay up front, and ended up walking away with everything EXCEPT what we needed and went in for in the first place.

The exam was very detailed and I felt it was an advantage. Wait time is like ever other good doctors office. My vision has never been better. I had lasek and I would do it all over again. The staff was vey informative and nice.

I didn't experience any unnecessary pain during my visit, and I was amazed at how much better I felt after I left. They would never suggest that I buy something that wasn't necessary, and never pressured me. They were always very considerate and professional. I was very comfortable the entire time. Sometimes appointments run behind. It was so nice to arrive and see many fully qualified staff members. I've gone to some places that were very understaffed and I've never had a good experience. This place had a great staff though, and I'll definitely be going back.
