One sees more of his assistants than of him. He is knowledgeable but not particularly personable. He insists upon diabetic nutritionist counseling even if the patients don't need it.

If this story is true, I hope that you seek counseling. I also hope that you never have to deal with a doctor with the closed mindedness that you seem to posses. I recommend that you go to the next NDSC Conference to learn a little bit of the community that you seemed to have outraged by your words and actions. Next, I would find out how you can start giving back to this great community.

Okay, I need assistance. Many know my daughter was born with Down's and today when her mother took her to a new doctor for her thyroid she was told "I don't work on pets and I don't talk with their owners"! When this was said she turned around and started to walked out when he told his receptionist "I'm not a veterinarian". So other than smashing his face into the floor, what are my options? His name is Sumesh Chandra located at 3000 E Fletcher Ave Suite 350 Tampa, FL 33613. His number is (813)977-5557 and works at Endocrine, Osteoporosis & Thyroid Care Center. I still have not ruled out option #1!

I read a post today on fb and then called his office to confirm if true. The receptionist did not deny the doctor's actions. He called a baby with Down syndrome a "pet" and her mother the "owner". How arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. He should lose his licence over this!!

I do not agree with the way they do business here, it is always their way or the highway. They are so uncooperative if a customer complains and are never willing to admit if they are wrong. I showed up on time for my appointment but they weren't even there yet. I had to wait quite a while for them and my entire day's schedule was messed up. I don't feel like I can count on them to work with me until they find a solution for my situation. They always seem like they're going to give up on me. They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. I was very unimpressed with their level of skill. It seemed like they had just started yesterday.

Dr. Sumesh Chandra referred to a little girl with Down's Syndrome as a pet and refused treatment. He then proceeded to tell the little girl's mother that he does not speak to pets nor does he speak to their owners. He immediately left the room and told his receptionist very loudly that he is not a veterinarian! I cannot believe that such a horrible man is allowed to practice medicine with that kind of behavior! They answered very few of my questions. They were unresponsive and gave me little information. They always made sure that I wasn't in any pain. They barely had any magazines to choose from, and the ones that were available weren't very interesting. I couldn't believe how rude and inconsiderate they were. I showed up before their scheduled closing time and they said they were closing. They knew I needed help but they still decided to close early. My appointments always get canceled last minute here. It is really frustrating and really unprofessional in my opinion.
