On the way to the office I rode in the elevator with an elderly couple. He asked me what doctor I was seeing. I said Dr. David Kruger. He said" Oh I saw him ". I asked, "so what did you think?". He said, "Very arrogant"
. I made the appointment for specific purpose of receiving a second opinion, having seen a neurosurgeon 10 months earlier, but still experiencing severe pain and increased symptoms. First I was seen by a youthful but very nice and empathetic nurse practitioner who had clearly read the paperwork I completed for the visit. I was sent for X-rays. The tech was very pleasant. Then Dr Kruger came in. He wa arrogant and dismissive. He answered none of my questions and whenn I asked for recommendations for what to do to improve and what to avoid, he responded I had to figure that out for myself. I provided all reports his office requested, including MRI film and filled out all his practice,s paperwork completely. My impression is he did not bother to read any of it, with possible exception of written MRI summary. Although I listed all my medications, which include Meloxicam, he told me to take ibuprofen for my pain ( CAN NOT BE TAKEN AT SAME TIME). I also listed Ultracet taken for pain and told him of concerns about some side effects I have had. He said take over the counter medicine. HAD ALREADY TOLD HIS NURSE PRACTITIONER I HAVE TRIED TAKING EXTEA STRENGTH TYLENOL BUT IT DOES NOT TOUCH THE PAIN. He proceeded to tell me that some people have, cancer some people have lung problems and some people have back pain, and Western medicine does not help. I spent two and a half hours in the office, constantly switching positions and pacing like a caged tiger due to level of pain . Dr. Kruger spent 5 minutes with me. It was a waste of time and I left feeling worse than I did before I arrived.
The following day my husband had a medical appt. and asked doc if he could recommend a good "back doctor" The doc asked who I had seen and the doc responded "I've heard a lot of bad things about him".
