Stephen M. Sims, MD has been practicing medicine since 1993 when earned a degree in medicine from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. There he continued residency training in anesthesiology and fellowship in pain management. Dr. Sims served as an assistant professor at UTMB until he was offered the position of Medical Director at the Huntsville Surgery Center in Huntsville, Texas. After serving as director for four years, Dr. Sims opened North Lakes Pain Consultants and has been serving chronic pain patients in North Houston since 2002.Dr. Sims balances his work between serving the patients of NLPC and training other doctors at M.D. Anderson Hospital where he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor.
