Anisa Gopalani

Anisa F. Gopalani, MD has been practicing medicine for fourteen years. Dr. Gopalani’s medical education began when she graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with High Honors and then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Texas. She completed residency training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas where she served as Chief Resident. Dr. Gopalani then completed a fellowship in Pain Management with the Department of Anesthesiology at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. Since 2006, she has been a partner physician beside Dr. Sims at North Lakes Pain Consultants.

She is double board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and in Pain Management. Dr. Gopalani is an active member of the American Medical Association, American Medical Women’s Association, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, American Pain Society, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, International Association for the Study of Pain, and the Pain and Palliative Care Committee.​

Dr. Gopalani’s career is highlighted by her role as a lead contributor in research for her fields. For over a decade her work has been published and presented at conferences all over the world.

Dr. Gopalani uses a multidisciplinary approach to pain management including interventional techniques, medical management, and targeted physical therapies that restore function and quality of life. Dr. Gopalani is fellowship trained in surgical and non-surgical treatments to reduce complications and recovery time.
