Craig,

This policy actually has been in place under Dr. Payne, but was less followed by the staff. However, when you go to any Dr's office anymore payment is now required up front. When anyone does not pay their bills that cost has to be passed on to other clients which is bad business and why payment is required up front. Think about a Dr that works in a hospital all of their medical equipment is paid for by the hospital. Whereas a vet clinic has to pay for 40-100,000 dollar machinery on their own. I actually worked for Dr. Ray was a relief vet at this clinic before he took over this clinic and find your statement on his compassion baseless. Dr. Ray ran the clinic the same way he does now that he did on the days he worked there as a relief vet. As someone that has been in a room with clients I know that Dr. Ray usually tries to offer several options, but if you cannot afford any of those options it is on you. If you cannot afford to own an animal and care for it, you shouldn't!!!!!
