Dr. Gutierrez completely misdiagnosed my pets disease which lead to an early death. He had a fill in vet that suggested that my dog might have congestive heart failure and took some blood tests, when I phoned Dr. Gutierrez to find the results of the test he told me that there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with my pet, I was very confused and begged Dr. Gutierrez to take a look at him, he refused and just read the blood test results, later that night my dog when into severe distress and I had to take him to the hospital, he was kept at the hospital for three days - we almost lost him. The hospital forwarded all diagnosis, treatment and other pertinent information to Dr. Gutierrez - I NEVER ONCE RECEIVED A PHONE CALL from Dr. Gutierrez to check up on him. A few weeks later my very best friend died a painful death. I miss him so desperately. A couple of days ago Dr. Gutierrez's staff phoned to schedule an appointment for a follow up blood test - they are quick to phone for fee services, but neglect to phone for potentially embarrassing follow up from problems. I have since found out that congestive heart failure if extremely common in my dogs breed - Dr. Gutierrez kept telling me that congestive heart failure is very rare in his breed. Perhaps its time for more schooling or a change of career for Dr. Gutierrez.
Stay clear of this vet.
