I purchased 2 PR906 Wall hugger custom built lift chairs Jan 26 2011. I received the 2 owners manuals that stated a warranty of 3 years on electrical parts with an extended 4 through 7 year prorated w arranty on electrical parts. The motor drive assembly broke on 6/2/2015. I called Raleigh Medical supply and they contacted Golden only to find out that the PR906 had only a 1 year warranty and no extended prorated. They then wanted to sell me a new drivefor over $300. The same exact motor drive was priced on line for $188.50.The best they could tell me was to buy it which I have done. No more Golden who do not back their merchandise and are not very relioable. No where in the warranty in the manuals I received did it state only a one year warranty. These chairs cost almost $1300 each. Take heed find out the exact warranty before you purchase.
BEWARE! My mother found a $1900 lift chair she found comfortable.She asked for a different fabric, RMS ordered and delivered. My mother found the delivered chair to quite uncomfortable and wishes it r eturned. Edward stated the 25% restocking and shipping would be $400 additional. He did offer to place the chair for sale in his store. RMS never stated a no return policy. The delivery ticket stated no return, (after the chair was delivered).
Edward stated that no return policies are "common knowledge". Not to me they aren't. We did find a no return sign in the store, buried in a corner you could not see. No sale would have happened if my mother had known of the no return policy. Bad deal.
PS: No one offered to check the chair to see if it was defective. Seems like a fundamental practice.
