Qing Hua (a.k.a Michelle) is absolutely the best! She is thorough, attentive to detail, friendly, professional, and highly-sought by a wide variety of clientele. Walk-in customers are not likely to sit in Michelle's chair, however, because the savvy customers are making appointments in order to secure her services. In short, she is simply the best.

I had a terrible experience at the Hair Cuttery in Germantown. The only good thing was that they took me right away so I didn't have to wait, but it went downhill from there. I had come in with three pictures of the haircut I used to have (which I wanted replicated) but apparently my hair stylist couldn't work from pictures because he kept asking me what I wanted. Even with verbal instructions, he could not accurately reproduce my former haircut. I told him to cut my bangs a little so that they fell at about my eyebrows, but for the most part they are about an inch above where they should be, and he cut the sections closest to my part to only an inch long. My hair is uneven all over and my neck is cut in three spots from the razor. Lastly, he kept catching my earring with his comb, eventually ripping it out of my ear. When I got home I found my neck and clothing covered in hair, which he acted like he had cleaned up but apparently didn't. When I ran my fingers through my hair, clumps of cut hair came out. I have been to a variety of hair places, and my experiences have generally been good - it takes a lot to annoy me, but this experience was everything a haircut should NOT be, and I will never go back to any of these salons again.
