David Shirazi, DDS,LAc,MS, MA,FAACP, D.ACSDD

Dr. Shirazi earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the internationally-renowned Howard University College of Dentistry and continued his studies in Chinese medicine, acupuncture and herbology at Samra University of Oriental Medicine, earning a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine. He is a California State Board licensed acupuncturist and an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity, Santa Barbara/Ventura County Dental Association, and the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. He has completed two mini-residencies at the China Beijing International Acupuncture Centre and at Kyung Hee International Oriental Medicine Hospital in Seoul, Korea. In addition, he is educated in a variety of alternative, non-invasive medical treatments, as well as homeopathic therapies. Among the most important philosophies behind Dr. Shirazis work is that quality of life improves dramatically when the body is pain-free. He especially enjoys helping patients who have been met with great challenge in achieving this goal, employing the most holistic and non-invasive procedures possible. Dr. Shirazi is a proud member of "El Proyecto del Barrio," a small but dedicated group of dentists that provides dental healthcare for underprivileged children. Among his hobbies are hiking and camping, diving the worlds oceans, perfecting his photography skills and reading up on how to better his patients health.

Having been diagnosed with sleep apnea and given results from 5 sleep studies over the years, I am well informed and have tried various medical techniques to overcome the problem. It's up to you which doctor you choose, but I will tell you this doctor's $6,200 fee for treatment was a complete waste of money for me and in his own words the result of his sleep study test using his appliance "WAS TERRIBLE." I had hoped for more positive results. Other professionals offer relief and for much less.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was easy enough to find. I will absolutely return. I had an amazing experience, and they were by far the best I've ever seen. My diagnosis was done at my first visit it was well done and easy to understand the diagnosis .Yes I have a posited hope the Dr. Shirazi got me on the corrected TMJ treatment plan.
