Jenn,a supervising nurse at pinegrove in pascaog RI,is highly qualified/trained nurse,jenn as well as other staff at pinegrove could be more efficent and attentive to there patient's healthcare needs if Pinegrove was not extremely understaffed especially between hour's of 7pm-11pm
They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was friendly enough, but they are under staffed (except for in the adim departments)and sometimes can't go out of their way to help me. I feel like my appointment was pointless = the head admin Karen Morin will sit across from you and "yes you to death" , tell you she will "see what I can do" , take your money and then do nothing she said she would!!! I have been battling for 19 months to get my mother a proper foot/leg brace so that she can walk again and also for them to do range of motion excercises with her, instead they pump her full of Vicodin and leave her in her wheel chair from 7am-7:30pm EVERY day!!! In addition to lack of hygiene care(extensive) patience are constantly left unattended on the toilets and many have injured themselves falling off. My mother has fallen off the toilet after being left unattended for over 15-20 min. Room call button response time has been in excess of 20-25 min. Again, this is due to lack of direct care staffing not the nurses and aids. Most of them are really nice and very friendly. Dental care is a nonpriority. My mother has not been able to chew solid foods for 3 months. For 3 months I asked for her to get to a dentist and ended up scheduling the appointment and taking her myself. The dentist told me that they have been Neglecting my mother and have not been brushing her teeth everyday at which point my mother confirmed they do not brush them very often.
None of my questions were answered honestly, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. The office was very easy to locate and comfortably air conditioned (unlike the hallways and patient rooms which, get brutally hot in the summer) I'm not sure why the people getting paid to work there(admins) deserve to be cooled off when the people PAYING to live there have to suffer!?!? I didn't have any trouble finding it at all.

I have to repeatedly call my friend who is a Viet Nam veteran..not four times in one day but over the course of three to four days. This friend I have known since I was five..We are both veterans and I will remain his friend.. They dislike him and are afraid of him(Robert Birtwell) but the end result is you get the dollar when it is due. I expect better....If I continue to en encounter these probllems I will contact the V.A. Trust me. Ted Dube
