Dr. Zakhireh graduated from dental school with multiple awards, and he achieved first standing in his class. His accomplishments resulted in the award of a full scholarship to The University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA. Here he completed a one-year internship at the University of Pennsylvania in anesthesiology. Then he continued his studies in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery from 1979 to1982. He did his internship in this field at The University of Alabama Hospital, Birmingham.
Dr. Zakhireh completed one year of residency at The University of Alabama Hospital, and his accomplishments were recognized by his appointment as Chief Resident in 1982 at the University of Alabama Hospital and the VA Hospital in Birmingham. He completed the Texas State Board Dental Exam in 1982.
Dr. Zakhireh was certified to administer IV sedation and general anesthesia by the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners in 1983. Dr. Zakhireh passed the Florida State Bench Exam in December, 1982. He also passed the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry Bench Examination in 1982.
Dr. Zakhireh obtained the Alabama Board of Dental Examiners Teaching Permit and the California Dental Board Accreditation in 2004.
